OUR SERVICES AND OUR TEAM

MEET OUR TEAM

Galileo's team of instructors are dedicated instructors in their respective fields of maritime training. We are young at heart and enjoy making the learning experience fun, realistic and practical. Classroom time is kept to a minimum so there is plenty of time spent in or on the water, at sea in our own training vessels, tenders,
life-boats and rescue ribs including training in the school of engineering and our advanced fire fighting facilities. Our instructors are internationally certified and have a world of experience to pass on to you.

COURSES

Galileo provides a wide range of safety, security and first aid courses to meet the needs of superyachts and cruise ship, merchant ship and oil / gas rig owners, managers and operators. These courses meet and exceed the international standards established by IMO, MNTB, MCA and ISPS.

Galileo also provides entry level and advanced skills and service training for superyacht crew. Superyacht crew courses include exterior deck crew, interior steward and stewardess, combined skills for deckhand / steward or stewardess, and culinary courses for yacht chef and experienced chefs who transition from a land career to an onboard career.

In addition to established courses, Galileo works with client companies to develop training programs that meet their own specific training needs and policies, providing consultancy services and also undertaking on-board security and safety audits with reports and recommendations.

CAREERS

It is a fundamental goal at Galileo to assist all our graduates who are starting or developing their careers in the maritime industry with career options and introductions to employer organisations and suitable vessels where they will be able to flourish and enjoy the success they deserve as fully qualified and certified seafarers.

Galileo works with some of the most professional recruitment agencies to ensure graduates a fast and efficient entry into the most rewarding jobs in the industry.

Our client companies and client captains are always eager to interview Galileo graduates because they respect the standards of training Galileo achieves and the MCA certification that owners and their insurers require.

In this respect, our success is measured by the successful careers Galileo graduates embark on and develop.

CONSULTANCY

SCHOLARSHIPS

Galileo Maritime Academy provides a limited number of scholarships each year to outstanding applicants wishing to join the superyacht industry, who would not be able to do so without financial assistance from Galileo.

If you feel that you may qualify and would like to know more about Galileo’s scholarships, please contact us for an application form to apply.

AGENTS
